The update fixes the reliability issue of VPN connections that use USB smart cards for authentication and reliability of accessing files located on SMB servers. It also includes a updated version of Safari 7.0.6.
For enterprise users, it has fixes for group membership in large networks and it allows authentication when roaming on 802.1x networks which use EAP-TLS.

After lots of rumours, finally the Apple watch is here. And it's simply called Watch. It comes in three variants, Watch, Watch Sport and Watch Edition. It was unveiled by Tim Cook on 9th September 2014 at Flint Centre, Cupertino.
The Watch has a specially designed face and it is covered with Sapphire glass. Apple understands that, one size won't fits all. So the are offering in two sizes with 38 mm and 42 mm. It comes in various colours including 18K real gold. It has a specially designed user interface. You can chose from variety of watch faces to suit you.
In the back side of the watch, there are infrared and LED sensors present, which calculates your pulse . the back side also houses the charging port via beautifully designed MagSafe charger.
The watch will be available in Early 2015 and cost $349.

At last Apple has unveiled what people have been waiting for, a bigger iPhone. Apple CEO, Tim Cook unveiled the newest and biggest iPhone yet, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. It comes in two sizes, 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch. The bigger iPhone 6 Plus is the flagship.
On Tuesday, 9th September 2014, Tim Cook unveiled the hotly anticipated handsets at Flint Centre, Cupertino. The iPhone 6 sports the new A8 SoC (speed unknown) and M8 chip. The 64-bit A8 has 25% more CPU power and 50% more GPU power than A7. The iPhone 6 has a 4.7 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1334x750 (326 PPI) and the Plus has a resolution of full HD i.e. 1920x1080 (401 PPI). The display is called Retina Display HD. The 6 is the thinnest iPhone at 6.8 mm and the Plus is at 7.1 mm.
While both the phones have similar specification, the Plus has few technologies exclusive to it. The OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) is exclusive to Plus. The bigger display supports landscape mode to certain apps such as, Mail.
The iPhone has better connectivity with 150 mbps cat4 LTE, Wi-Fi ac, VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling and NFC. The NFC works with Apple Pay, a payment service introduced by Apple at the event.
The iPhone keeps the same 8 MP iSight camera, but with improvement. It has the aperture of f/2.2 and a pixel size of 1.5µ. The True Tone flash is also present, but its round instead of oval. The camera offers faster auto focus with Phase Detection and Focus Pixels. It offers 1080p recording at 30/60 fps and slo-mo video at 240 fps. It's unknown at the point that the iPhone still records mono audio.
The iPhone is offered in three capacity versions, 16 GB, 64 Gb and 128 GB. The 32 GB option is gone as you get 64 at the price of 32. The starting price is unchanged at $199. The 6 will cost $649 and the Plus will cost you $749 unlocked. The new handsets will start selling on September 19th.
After unveiling the newest iPhone at Flint Centre, Cupertino, Apple has changed its website to sport a a flatter look. Now it matches the design philosophy of iOS and OS X Yosemite. The icons have changed too to seamlessly integrate with the website. And it looks beautiful.
